LCSW Supervision

As an LCSW-S who has been in clinical social work practice since 2017, it is my pleasure to supervise Texas and Pennsylvania LMSWs, and to help you enhance your professional and clinical skills.

We may be a good fit for LCSW supervision if you are looking for an LCSW supervisor who:

  • Has extensive experience working with complex trauma (eg, racial trauma, medical trauma, childhood abuse, sexual/physical violence).

  • Utilizes the Object Relations approach to Psychodynamic psychotherapy.

  • Understands the unique challenges marginalized clinicians face.

  • Primarily serves women, communities of color, and LGBTQ+ communities.

  • Practices from a trauma-informed, strengths based, anti-racist perspective.

  • Offers a no-bullshit and honest approach to real world clinical and professional situations.

  • Individual supervision is offered to masters level licensed social workers in PA and TX.

    Supervision is provided weekly:

    • Individual supervision 2x monthly (60 mins)

    • Group supervision 2x monthly (90 mins)

      • Max: 3 supervisees per supervision group

    Rate:

    • $70/individual supervision

    • $75/group supervision

    Services are virtual only.

    • Lex, are you a board designated supervisor?: I am a board designated supervisor in the state of Texas, and I have completed all the required supervision training in the following states: Pennsylvania, Texas

    • What is your career experience in social work?: My experience started in undergrad at Georgia State University (ATL hoe!) where I developed scholarship about the intersection of race, gender, and mental health. I obtained a BA in Women, Gender & Sexuality Studies and African-American Studies in 2015. In my MSW program at the University of Pennsylvania, I completed my practicum in LGBTQ+ healthcare at the Mazzoni Center in Philadelphia. Post-graduation, I have worked in homeless services, rural and urban acute/post-acute medical care, community behavioral health settings, and in non-profit consulting.

    • How long have you been a social worker/clinician?: I have nearly a decade of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. I graduated with my MSW in 2017, and obtained full clinical licensure (LCSW) in 2020. I became an LCSW-S (social work supervisor) in 2024.

    • Why do you do this work?: I am extremely passionate about helping marginalized communities address mental health challenges, manage societal oppression, interpersonal conflict, and systemic discrimination in various aspects of their lives.

    • Why are you a clinical supervisor?: I love to educate and guide future clinicians toward fulfilling their career goals. I also take my role as a clinical supervisor very seriously, and strongly believe in maintaining and upholding the NASW Code of Ethics. I am committed to ensuring supervisees are fully prepared to work independently and to achieve their professional goals. Additionally, it’s not often you meet LCSW-supervisors with the unique collection of experiences I offer. I feel like it’s time that changed.

I am in the process of becoming an approved supervisor in Idaho and Washington state. At this time, I can provide professional consultation not supervision, in Idaho and Washington state.
